This just in – Bob Griese has been suspended by ESPN/ABC following his insensitive remarks regarding Juan Pablo Montoya last weekend. The remarks he made, and the sloppy, awkward apology can be seen/heard below;
Yes, thats my video, and yes, it’s currently being linked to by every online news outlet. Coooool….
The Buckeye Battle Cry applauds ESPN/ABC for suspending Griese. But not because he made insensitive comments about Montoya. We’d prefer they suspend him because he’s a shitty color commentator and a general douchebag.
But we’ll take it.

Babe, are you still stirring up trouble back in Ohio?
I saw this video in Japan and just KNEW you had something to do with it!

Yeah, it seems more appropriate to suspend him for generally being an inept dumbass.

If Greise isn’t shitcanned, please take him off of college football and force him to cover NASCAR. The guy is worse than Jenna Bush on the TODAY show

I nearly did an entire piece on Griese’s horrible commentary after last year’s Michigan game, instead opting to just use a few of his awful comments.
I should have started a movement to remove him back then, but it looks like he took care of himself finally.

Can we pick the game he is suspended for?
If so, I choose November 21st. That guy needs to be as far away from OSU-scUM as possible.

I’ve disliked Griese’s work for years, but I suffer it happily now that he’s working with Spielman. I think it’d be great if they did The Game.
