Things to do before the bowl game

A lot of talk about the layoff between the end of the regular season and the game in Pasadena.

We know about practice plans, holiday plans, etc. We even know that some Buckeyes are going to be spending a lot of time with family and with their studies.

What about Ducks? Well, some of them like to go Duck hunting with pellet guns.

A University of Oregon football player told police that a teammate — not an apartment window that ended up shattered — was the intended target of a pellet gun he allegedly fired Monday outside a complex near Autzen Stadium, a police spokeswoman said.

Must be something about the Northwest that leads folks to seek these types of creative outlets:

Police said three members of the University of Oregon men’s basketball team were detained at gunpoint after shooting BBs at ducks and geese in Alton Baker Park on Monday night.

Folks gotta' do what folks gotta do, right? No judgement- everyone's traditions are important to them.

It's important to remember that there are always worse ways to spend your free time.

Nah- MoC didn’t pack pellet guns. If you’re gonna’ do it, do it 110%.

Plus, most of his relationship with firearms occurred well after his playing days at Ohio State and Denver (remember those?). I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have taken shots at teammates, and positive he wouldn’t have gone the Harrison route (last link).

Hope he’s continuing to do work and get squared away.

No need for alarm, Mali; these seem to be Duck-on-Duck incidents, the general populace seems to be safe.

I’m not worried- if I see Oregon players headed my way brandishing pellet guns, I know just what to do.

Duck.

Thank you, I’ll be here all night. Try the veal.

Mali quacks me up.

(this theme would be so much funnier if we were playing Oregon State….I had about 400 Beaver jokes)

Man, I would have loved to have the Beavers on here. It’s going to be interesting enough with my coverage of a bowl game that is sponsored by nuts and another brought to us by Gaylord Hotels.

Now, back to the schtick…

Jeff, what can I say- Birds of a feather, right? I’m always down for a good bit of duck puns. I bought a great Oregon Football book, but couldn’t agree on the beak.

What?

Right- “couldn’t agree on the bill”. That’s what I meant to say.

Sorry, I always mess that joke up because it’s so fowl.

And now- Enjoy Ricky Martin….
