Did Beanie Wells just give Big Ten a BBC Championship?

Written December 27th, 2009 by Jeff

The BBC Challenge championship game is nearing it’s end today….and it’s been a battle between the Big Ten and the Pac-10.

However, just seconds ago, Beanie Wells scored on a 3-yard run to give himself 14 fantasy points on the day.  Wells was placed in the lineup last night after seeing that Rashard Mendenhall was facing the Baltimore defense while Wells was seeing St. Louis.  That move might have been the difference.

The Big Ten leads 78-56 .

  • Dallas Clark is still playing for the Big Ten, as is Wells.
  • DeSean Jackson has a full quarter for the Pac-10 left, and Rian Lindell goes tomorrow.

It’s still a war, but it’s looking good for the Big Ten.

I was just thinking last week that he made a great choice by going to the NFL. It seems like Pryor never gives the ball to the RBs.

Boeckmanfan, out of 512 rushing attempts, Boom and Zoom both got 270 of those attempts, the two freshmen got 59 attempts, and the bulk of Pryor’s rushing attemps have come from busted passing plays. I don’t think that’s a fair assessment of Pryor not handing the ball off.
