In spite of everyone saying that this “isn’t a game jersey and we don’t know where it came from”, there’s a lot of smoke swirling about these designs.

Latest: Ebay “2010 Non-Game Worn Jersey”

Is the thought we’ll wear this at the Rose Bowl? Because I believe at the Rose Bowl, since like 2004, the team with the lower BCS ranking is the “away” team. And since Oregon is above us, we’d be in our whites, not reds. So I don’t think this is any preview of what they’ll wear at the Rose Bowl. A preview of next season… maybe.

I hate the money-grubbing cockmonglers at Nike. Why fuck with scarlet and gray perfection. Shame on Gene Smith and OSU for getting in bed with the Swoosh.

I think you’re both right- there’s no way this is the Rose Bowl Jersey (Unless it’s Oregon’s; who the hell knows what they’re wearing from week to week).

I’ve thought all along that this was either an option for the “throwback” jersey last season (we went with another look since we chose to do it against Mich1gAAn) or a preview of what might be coming in 2010. And, given that the eBay listing is “2010 Non-Game Worn Jersey”, the latter is still probable.

I like it. They better not change the helmet though.

I’m hot and cold on it. I like that it incorporates gray on the jersey itself (which the old ones don’t), but I absolutely despise the shoulder stitching. I’m also not a huge fan of us going away from the traditional style arm/shoulder stripes which were invented by the Buckeyes (there’s a reference to that somewhere).

I can probably live with them if the pants remain mostly unchanged and the helmets are not played with at all.
