Oh, snap!!
With all the excitement getting ready for NLOID, word comes in today that Georgia longsnapper Bryce Haynes has verballed to the Buckeyes.
While unusual for Ohio State to offer a scholarship to this specialist position (as discussed with our friend Jake McQuaid), Tressel and company have seen something that warrants the investment.
Haynes also held offers from Notre Dame, Arkansas, and Harvard. Highlights of his work after the jump:
Given that this is Ohio State’s 22nd commitment, it will be interesting to see if this has any impact on the remaining targets we discussed earlier in the week.

Interesting and somewhat unexpected. It will be especially interesting to see where the number come from, particularly if the Buckeyes long Walker, Grant, and Story.

I don’t have a good vibe from Story from stuff he’s said, like sort of questioning the Drayton hire. I think he goes to UF. I’ll take Grant and Walker, gladly.

According to insiders, he met with JT today and was at Gainesville hanging out with friends tonight.
Yeah, I think that ship has sailed…
That being said: come on down Dwayne Stanford and Alton Howard! See you in 2012.
