Price is a high motor force along the defensive line in the mold of John Simon.
He was an early target of the previous coaching staff and Urban Meyer, as we have all come to expect, continued the recruitment with a vengeance.
Price was in Columbus over the weekend, and that visit was the final straw that led to his commitment.
Rated a four star prospect by both Scout and Rivals, Price is an excellent start to the defensive line class.
As mentioned, he is a high motor guy that plays with plenty of power, which is obviously a nice combination to have in a linemen.
It should be fun watching his progression in Columbus, and if his career path is anything like that of John Simon, it will be a lot of fun watching him wreak havoc in the trenches for years to come.
LOL! Price will be a good DT or possibly on O. This class will be sick like I said on the last post and this is a GREAT start. REALLY hope we can get Ty I. and Derrik Green both. Never underestimate the power of Urban Meyer;-)
Man Ben, Ty Issac and Derrick Green. That would be awesome but but dont think that we would be able to land both. It would be great but realisticly speaking we more then likely will get one or the other and I think it would be Ty just because hes from the Mid-West and closer to the Buckeye State, even though Im hearing that he’s showing That School up North some Interest. Lets hope we get both though, Im with you kid.
I would say it goes back further than that- he has been camping in Columbus practically his entire high school career and was a big fan of Coach Tressel.
Yes, but he has also recently said he plans to wait until after signing day to make a decision. If he does end up doing that, there likely won’t be a spot in Ohio State’s class for him.
If they get Caleb Day and Eli Woodard to go along with Cam Burrows wouldn’t that give them one of the if not the best DB class in the country ? Who are OSU’s main contenders for Derrick Green at this point ?
Throw in Dymonte Thomas (have fun with that recruitment over the next 11 months, Michigan fans) and possibly one of the elite national guys to the DB class and yes, it would be one of the top groups in the country without a doubt.
Green has offers from pretty much everyone right now, so it’s tough to say who the main contenders are. He recently listed Ohio State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Michigan and Washington as the schools he has “the best relationship” with.
As mentioned above, if Green drags his recruitment past NLOID or possibly even close to it, the chances of there being room in the class for him go way down.

Nice job on that interception and return, but he needs a little bit of that smoke coming out of his ass like the other kid has.

After spending the weekend in Columbus, Eli Woodard is set to announce his college decision on Thursday.
It doesn’t take much work to guess what his decision will be.

Hasn’t Derrick Green had OSU at or near the top of his choices for quite a while ?
