To get the ball rolling today, there is a LOT of buzz surrounding Kyle Dodson pulling an Aundrey Walker and heading to Southern Cal. That is a situation worth tracking closely today, but it is probably best to prepare for the worst on that one.

Also, I would highly recommend checking out Taylor Decker’s senior highlights (linked above), they are extremely impressive.

The kids aren’t messing around this year, it is only 8:30 and all but three have sent in their letters.
In other news, Joel Caleb to Virginia Tech.

Speculation out there that Davonte Neal may sign today despite originally planning to wait until after a visit to Arizona on February 10th.
Things like this pop up constantly on days like today (for instance, there was a lot of buzz about Caleb to OSU last night/this morning), so I would wait until the letter is in before getting too excited.

Also, this tweet from Pantoni is leading people to speculate that Jamal Marcus may have sent in his letter of intent to OSU already.
We will likely have to wait until he announces at 10:30 to find out for sure.

Add Stefon Diggs to the “announcing today” speculation. Once again, probably not true (the source is ESPN, so almost certainly not true), but it’s another good example of how crazy today is.

Who would guess that ESPN would be throwing around the most trash and false reports on a day like today. Pretty hilarious considering they still pretend to be the “World Leader”.
The TMZ of sports reporting is striking hard today.

Let’s all remember that the “E” in ESPN stands for Entertainment. These people are NOT journalists; their job is to get you to watch or listen. “World wide leader” does not mean “most accurate” or “highest integrity.” It means “most sheer volume of events and associated crap.”

Bam Bradley to Pitt.
Good get for a team that I don’t really care about.

O’Connor catches up from the Central Time Zone and completes the class by faxing his LOI.
Now we wait.
Marcus announces at 10:30.
We will post the Dodson video at 11:30 which will happen shortly after noon.
Bill Greene chat will be posted at 12:30 and will go live at 1:00.
Busy day.

I figured the time difference was the reason for the delay. As much as OSU is a national power, we sometimes forget that the rest of the country gets up later. Unless my math is bad, this means everyone we knew were coming has faxed in…so, no surprise losses. From here on out, anyone else is gravy.

I actually think O’Connor is Mountain Time Zone, so that’s two hours behind EST.

Ohio State looking for 1-2 more guys in the class according to Meyer on ESPN. I wonder if that includes the mystery LB that we should know more about any second or not.

See, all it took was me saying that. I wonder if the 1-2 more includes Marcus. The other options are Dodson, Neal and Diggs.

Alright, let’s cap this day off with a Dodson commit to sweeten the deal.
I’m pumped to see what all of these kids are going to do in the Scarlet and Gray. Future’s lookin’ pretty bright.

Latest rumor is that Meyer slipped up during his interview with ESPN by revealing that Davonte Neal will be a part of the class.
I didn’t witness it myself, so I don’t know the details, but there it is.

I heard him say Neal, but I wouldn’t jump to conclusions. I’d say he just had Neal on his mind. But we can always hope. Go Bucks!

Amazing day so far.
Now all eyes turn to Davonte Neal and Stefon Diggs.
Diggs will decide on February 10th and Neal will likely decide shortly after.

According to Mike Farrell of Rivals, Davonte Neal tried to commit to Ohio State today but was rebuffed.

Could shine some light on Diggs recruitment, particularly since Meyer said there was only one spot left in the class at his press conference.

It’s unclear if Neal actually tried to commit today or not, but the bottom line appears to be that he will not be attending Ohio State.

Looks like it is Diggs or bust to finish out the class.
