In a low scoring game getting 5-10 yards further punts can win it. Very important in the B1G. I love Meyer’s national recruiting, and stealing the best punter and defensive end from a high talent producing state of Florida (considering the Gators, Seminoles and Canes only have 6 decent recruits from outside of the state combined).
Townsend is a great grab, and needed with Buchanan graduating. Quite the leg and and great it catching those high and off center snaps. Having a punter that can run as fast as he does and plays LB/S is like having an extra guy on the coverage team, he may get some tackles (hopefully not) in his time here.
