As if The Game weren’t already primed to be an incredible event, it will be the highlight of Ohio State recruiting for the fall as well.
The names and stars speak for themselves and not to mention the sheer number of high level recruits planning to be in town is unlike any recruiting weekend we have seen in the past. Keep in mind it is only Tuesday so plan for some minor changes throughout the week. Also this is the first step in what will be like a NASCAR speed couple of months following recruiting as things will change and we will get in on some of the top kids in the country.

Trey Johnson
The “official visits” scheduled at this point are:
- WR Marquez North (Charlotte, NC)
- WR Tony Stevens (Orlando, FL)
- LB Auston Johnson (Torrance, CA)
- LB Daniel McMillan (Jacksonville, FL)
- LB Trey Johnson (Lawrenceville, GA)
Trey Johnson may be our best shot with the above 5. He is currently verbally committed to Auburn but that program isn’t trending up right now. We will know more after the weekend, but at this point I am not predicting any of the above 5 in the final class.
Stay tuned over the next couple months as things become a little clearer, but this is a big day with a lot of excitement around Ohio State football and these guys get a chance to talk about playing together in the future.

Looks like things have already changed since noon. James Quick will take his official visit this weekend. Things still seem to be between us and Louisville here. This weekend is Meyer’s turn to really take the lead in this recruitment.
Marquez North is rumored to be taking a visit to Clemson instead of Ohio State this weekend.
Stay tuned to the comments here and we will update as needed.

Winning the way Urban is , even without the players he has at key areas at the moment is showing reqruits hes the real deal and this program isn’t in the tank as advertised last yr with the wheels seemingly off the wagon.
Knowing that Urban is still talking to kids already comitted to other programs is a strong sign he’s commited to getting the best kids regardless how certain individuals percieve that. I mean they are not with a program til that letter of intent is inked……OK Whiskey and Sparty……and I would expect the same from other coaches with our prospects,as Urban does. It makes his staff work harder.
Things are good again in Columbus…….
