Rattle the QB.No matter who is under center, turn the Silver Bullets loose early and get them rattled. Neither has faced a D, save for Alabama, that will provide the pressure and coverage the Buckeyes will. John Simon tied an Ohio State record for sacks in a game last week, and he’s hungry for more.
Make Them Guess. Here’s to the coaching staff coming up with a great game plan. I want TTUN guessing every play, where we are going with the football. Maybe Braxton’s bad day in Madison was due to sandbagging or by him thinking about this weeks game. Hard to avoid looking ahead to an opportunity to right a previous wrong. Buckeyes kept up with a better Wolverine squad last year and just fell short. Time for The Reckoning II(Thanks Jason L.)
Take It Back. It being the Rivalry. Remind them who has been in charge in recent history. The Buckeyes have an opportunity to show the world that last year was a one year event. Most thought it may have been a couple years before things got back to normal with respect to the Buckeyes being in charge.Urban Meyer has let everyone know just how important this week is to him.
Bring the noise. The Buckeyes are 11-0. This is the last game of the season, our bowl game. It is The Game. It’s TTUN. If you’re there, make the floor vibrate.
Line dominance. Offensive and defensive lines can win this this game. Defense move the line of scrimmage, offense move some people.
Feed Carlos. Get Carlos Hyde involved early and often. Let him soften that defense up and create options for Braxton Miller.
The Reckoning. Last season we took their best shot with one of our weakest teams and still almost pulled out a win up in Ann Arbor. All the while Denard Robinson pranced around arrogantly and made his “eat” motions. It’s time to ease the pain of that afternoon and get some payback.
JUICE. We’re 11-0. It’s The Game. It’s TSUN. It’s our last game of the season….our bowl game. Let’s get the ‘Shoe rocking.
Denard…being sacked. I’m pretty sure none of us have forgotten how arrogant he was during last year’s game. Time for some payback. Get pressure on him, and make his last game against Ohio State the most memorable, and not in a good way.
Send a Message. Show scUM that last year was a one-time deal. There is a new sheriff in town in Columbus, and he knows how important this week is. He knows what’s on the line, and he’ll be on the winning end come Saturday.
A Win. Saturday is all that matters…
Epic Crowd. It’s the bowl game, whether we like it or not. We had an inferno for Nebraska, The Game deserves to be thermonuclear.
2002 All Over Again. Jim Tressel will be in the ‘Shoe. Maurice Clarett also, Mike Doss, Roy Hall, Cie Grant… and that team were W*lverine killers. Let’s give them the honor they deserve, and thrive off of their presence for a big weekend.
Planted Gardner. He’s not faced a defense yet… it’s time to introduce him to The Reckoning
Offensive Explosion. We’ve had glimpses, but this is the apex of Coach Meyer’s plan. No Holds Barred.
Let’s Get Denarded. Will he be at quarterback? Will he be at running back? John Simon and Ryan Shazier don’t really care… they just want him buried.
Three In A Row. I promise to not ask at the beginning of next season if we can get a third straight week with no false starts.
Better Braxton. Braxton struggled last week and has to have a better game. scUM defense is a lot better defense than Wisky and if the play like they did last week then we could be in a lot of trouble.
Simonization. Simon was a beast last week. Another week like that and the scUM may be wishing they stayed home.
A Pounding. I want to see us send that team back up North and not even know what hit them.
350+ total yards for Braxton. It was Troy Smith that cemented himself in Buckeye greatness with a huge game at home against TSUN during his sophomore year. I would like to see the same with Braxton Miller.
The Best all around game we have seen all season. There have been some good games, where we played well, but I want to be able to grade the offense an A, the defense an A, as well as special teams an A.
Notre Dame, Alabama, and Georgia losses. It’s certainly unlikely. The Golden Domers get a USC team that seems unable of getting out of their own way, Alabama has hapless and hopeless Auburn, while Georgia has the mediocre (read: 6-5) Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. A guy can dream, can’t he?
Big day for the running game. This is a game that has frequently been won in the trenches. Pound the rock (especially with Carlos!) and use the pass to keep ‘em honest. 300 yards on the ground total should suffice.
Carlos breaks 1000. It’s a stretch, particularly since he needs about 176 yards in order to do it, but it sure would be great to see. The way he runs, though, it’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
Bring Gardner crashing back to reality. Gardner has been playing pretty good football the last few weeks. I want to see the Buckeyes demonstrate that this has more to do with the quality of defenses they’ve played as opposed to anything magical about Gardner.
A win. It’s quite simple really. Just beat the tar out of the skunk weasels please.
