Funny how you call our schedule “soft” Y’all got beat by a real “soft” App State team and Toledo team a few years ago! At least we didn’t lose to our “soft” schedule and seriously you UM fans got things twisted You guys may have played a tougher schedule but you didn’t beat 1 good team! I do agree our schedule was weak but we you guys didn’t help the strength of our schedule and btw you guys have done nothing in the last 10 years and continue to run off at the mouths DO something on the field NOW and quit bringing up HISTORY cuz OSU dominates this rivalry if you take away the first 20 or so games when we were a tech school and u guys were a university!

I am a very big Michigan fan so this news while expected is still tough because of the skill of Conely. The kid is a very solid corner with great size, speed and toughness, but he also has the ability to contribute on the other side of the ball as a WR also. Ohio has really done a nice job to acquire the services of a very good player with a diverse skill set, and not to mention they were able to steal a player away from the hated wolverines. Like I said I am a Michigan fan but good for Ohio and for Conely as they have both found a place they are excited about the possibilities. But dont let yourself panic too much Michigan fans, With the youth in the secondary and the skill obtained in the last two recruiting classes the secondary will continue to be solid as will Ohio’s with this addition along with their other succusses in recruiting. Lets not forget though, that if Michigan is able to secure the services of one Leon McQuay III, Conely’s decision will not be forgotten but will be pushed far back into the mind of Wolverine fans. Also if they are able to make the addition of Treadwell (which is a total question mark with a kid who changes his mind hourly) they will have covered Conely’s skills with the addtion of two players that are projected and appear to be player with great careers ahead of them. But as we can see from this story none of those commitments aswell as from Dawson and Green in which Michigan appears to be ahead for Dawson, Green and McQuay, are a guarentee until the signature is on the LOI and they are on campus. Good for OSU with the commitment of Conely and I wish the best for that kid with the exception of the Michigan game, I wish him good health and a good career but for when he lines up agains the wolverines. Go BLUE!!!!!

go bucks booblue, speed, not in ohio, i would put up any ohio state hs champ against any others state champs. what a dumb comment. Meyer gets kids for NEEDS with SPEED kids from trotwood, middletown, Mass, colrain pickerting on and on and on, along with other kids from out of state. His linemen are from ohio. Lets take those teams from down south and play teams here in Nov.

Michigan raiding Ohio for football players isn’t an argument, it is a fact.

Michigan fans who think they would even be a blip on the college football radar without the state of Ohio are delusional.

With scholarship limitations, it is impossible for Ohio State to lock up every good player from the state, making it inevitable that some good Ohio plays will defect north each year.

The trick isn’t preventing all Ohio players from going north- that would be impossible. It will be winning the head to head battles.

Conley was a victory for Ohio State in a head to head battle which they didn’t even enter until very late in the game. It is understandable why many UM fans are so bitter about it.

All kidding aside, you’re right- there’s plenty of talent in Ohio to go around; that’s what makes the rivalry so good. The element that your coaches “get it” is important to, which is why I loved Tressel over Cooper and Hoke over Rodriguez.
