I worked the chains for the 2010 D3 title game between Mr.Smiths team and Bishop Watterson. #5 was a beast, it was a low scoring game 13-12 BW, but some big plays both ways.

Coach Tressel was there that day and I was surprised to find out he hadnt offered Smith.

Found out even later that he did but there were some academic issues that caused him to have to go juco. Not grades tho, something to do with not enough credit hours to get in OSU.

hes been an Ohio State fan his entire life and this has to be a dream come true, this kid will impress form the get go. Thought he was better than D. Smith in HS, JMHO

Until Trey himself says that he’s recommitted, Scout has to have him as a soft verbal (due to the visit to Tennessee). Same with EzE.

Both, however, have been given the “not worried” and “All is well” by several insiders.

This is the kind of more veteran recievers we need right now. Great to see him commit. This puts us at 82 without further attrition. So i think we should expect 1-2 more?

Two things struck me watching the videos; he has soft hands and there seems to be a Ted Ginn’ish Jr. quality about him.
