So when did I say anything about a cover-up or or Joe being responsible for Sandusky? Please, I’m waiting…

My “evidence” is Joe’s own testimony. Here’s that word PSU fans love to throw out there, did you READ it? Also, did you actually read what I wrote, or just skim through it, get upset and then posting drivel?

How hypocritical of a statement is this: “because everyone outside Penn State believes he was God. We don’t. He was just Joe to us.”

Are you kidding me? It’s only outside PSU that people sae Joe as a God? Sorry bro, that’s inside PSU exclusively. We all saw him as a stand up guy, as a guy who did things right, as a guy to model your program after, you’re the ones who raised a statue for a living mortal and then protested and cried your eyes out when it came down!

“Spoken like a true Buckeye”? Spoken like someone who is adamantly against child rape and people defending those who enabled it to continue to happen.

Pretty sure I said there is plenty of blame to go around. Also, you’re right and it is great to see someone who is a PSU fan putting the victims first for once.

All PSU fans want to keep repeating the word “read” over and over again, well you’re commenting on a blog post that you obviously only skimmed and didn’t actually read. I’m not in any way saying Paterno is the cause, I’m simply assassinating the character of him and his family and their motives.

A man who built a reputation on doing things right and ruling with a fatherly iron fist turns his head and lets down the weakest of people, children.

There is nothing you can direct me to read or watch that changes that. Sorry.

Absolutely agree that the real tragedy is that no one who talks about this case seems to be interested in discussing child welfare.

It’s either about Penn State football or Joe Paterno… or how it wasn’t their responsibility.

This is not about the so-called “Paterno Report” vs. The Freeh Report. This is about child victimization. The guilty people here are Jerry Sandusky and the Pennsylvania child welfare system that investigated him in 1998 and did not charge him. (Sandusky, by the way, was not an employee of Penn State after 1999.) To ignore the Clemente Report and put this on Paterno and the administrators is just ignorant. Do your homework.

You use such bravado in your words. Please cite me your sources of information (not the Freeh OPINION, which is flawed from the get-go and had to be corrected.) The ONE email you reference would never hold up in court, and anyone with half a brain knows this. Educate yourself about PA law in 2001. If Joe Paterno knew about anything in 1998, it was that NO charges were filed. If any law enforcement agency had even mentioned an investigation to Joe Paterno, it would be failing the victim(s) and the case would be compromised. The absurdity of your article is that you also assign motive where there is none. Joe Paterno is not at fault for Sandusky’s crimes, nor is Penn State. If you followed where MOST of Sandusky’s activities took place, they were OFF PSU property AFTER he retired. The Penn State Trustees failed Penn State by firing Joe and Spanier, without any shred of factual evidence, thus making the world believe in their guilt. Why would they do this, then go into hiding until Freeh? Freeh found zilch, but was big on speculation. 3.5 MILLION documents, and he only found 4 worth using?? Huh, and 3 words convict Joe Paterno? These Trustees hired Freeh (who served as MBNA vice chair, 2nd Mile Charity’s largest sponsor from 2001-2006. Independent, no ties?) to cover them for hasty bad decisions. THAT is clear to anyone everywhere.–Cover up? When 20+ people KNOW, including Child Welfare, police, doctors, counselors, high school teachers/coaches/principal, 2nd Mile Charity execs, McQueary’s parents, girlfriend, janitors…..yeah, that’s a cover-up. And those janitors….grown MEN who feared losing their part-time seasonal job??? They should be charged, too. Why give them a free pass for turning the ONLY ‘witnessing EYE’?? You want a cover-up, look at the PSU Board of Trustees, PA Gov. Tom Corbett, 2nd Mile Charity, and all the PA Child services who failed in a big way.—–However, congrats. It’s easier to pin it all on Joe Paterno, because everyone outside Penn State believes he was God. We don’t.
