RE: Sugar juice- You may be 100% accurate. Also- the NCAA makes the same money from the SEC as they do from the other conferences. You're right about ESPN seeing them as the cash cow, though.

I said this a week ago when the story broke. The NCAA will NOT investigate the SWATS issue. They don’t want to take down the entire SEC. Not only did Key say LSU and Bama were taking it, but also Auburn players took it in their NC year and Georgia was mentioned in the article. This would mean the last half of SEC dominance was a result of cheating. They would be stripped of the last 3 and maybe even 4 or 5 NCs, depending on how long Bama and LSU players knew about this.

Why? The NCAA and ESPN make SO MUCH money off of the SEC. The whole rest of the country will watch SEC games just to hope for them to lose. The whole rest of the country will read articles about SEC powerhouses just hoping to read something bad. The whole good vs evil thing makes them way too much money to risk losing it all. So the powerhouses (except Arkansas, and Florida thus far not mentioned) cheat a little, who cares… there is too much money to risk.

That’s IF this is true. Personally I think 50/50 shot SWATS is nothing but sugar juice and it was a placebo effect. Which studies have shown works almost as well….

If anyone should be outraged at change in color schemes, it should be TTUN fans with those god-awful uniforms Tuesday night.
