Are You Not Entertained? The Game

Written December 2nd, 2013 by Gary Russell II

Well, TTUN threw all their best “punches” at the Buckeyes but still couldn’t put a blemish on the Buckeyes resume.  Let’s see if our wishes were able to roll with the “punches”!

  1. Carlos Hyde - Needs 134 yards to reach the 1,200 yard mark. Do it.  226 yards definitely put him over the 1,200 yard mark!
  2. Defense - TTUN has been held to < 200 yards total offense 2 of last 3 games. Make it 3 of 4.  Not even close on this one since they allowed 603 yards!
  3. Takeaways - 2; Any combination of interception/fumble.  Just one….but it lead to 7 for the Bucks!
  4. No Injuries – No injuries but Marcus Hall and Dontre Wilson made early exits with their ejections.
  5. A Win – Oh Yeay Baby!
Jason
  1. Silver Bullets - Crush their run game, make Gardner scared to take a snap, break their spirit.  152 yards rushing and 451 yards passing allowed is hardly breaking anyone’s spirits.
  2. El Guapo - Monster truck – That truck destroyed scUM all day!
  3. Points – And lots of them. Mercy is for the week. Time to put these people firmly in their place.  42 and they needed everyone of them!
  4. No Punts - Simple enough.  Sorry….3 punts in all!
  5. Take it to the House – Special teams or a defensive touchdown. I’d prefer one of each.  Neither one came through!
Charles
  1. A Fast Start - Take the crowd out of it early.  Not getting the lead until the second half is not what you had in mind for fast!
  2. Hit Gardner - He has taken lots of hits this season, continue that and make him worry about protecting himself.  May not of registered a lot of sacks but they definitely roughed him up!
  3. No Rushing Allowed - In losses to MSU and Nebraska M*ch*g*n was held to negative yards on the ground, let’s do that.  Again…152 yards!
  4. No Turnovers  Wrong again!
  5. No Injuries – Again…ejections but Pat Elflein stepped up BIG time!
  6. TBDBITL Being Amazing – Force the crowd to acknowledge that they got beat at halftime too.  Aren’t they always awesome?

  1. Remind Ann Arbor She Is Who We Thought She Was  Definitely showed their colors!
  2. Defensive Score Sorry Clair!
  3. Stay Healthy Finally!
  4. Win Check!
  5. Keep TTUN Rushing to 0 or Less  At least you got number one right!

  1. Wrinkles- You just know that Ohio State has been preparing something (or things) special for The Game… let’s see ‘em!  No wrinkles needed when you got Hyde!
  2. But Basics- Don’t get too cute, though… there’s no need for delicacy when a sledgehammer is available.  The Miller and Hyde show!
  3. Sound Defense- I imagine that TTUN has some twists in their quiver as well; screens to take advantage of the fact that they can’t block anyone, trick plays of desperation… Silver Bullets, rise up!  Better find this one before next week against Sparty!
  4. No That One Thing- You know the snap count (clap count?). Don’t give them any yardage… Win! In fact, TTUN’s  lone false start stopped their momentum
  5. Reminders- TTUN has some traitors and some “wannabe” Buckeyes. Help them know who’s the top program in the conference.  I think the loss speaks for itself!
  6. Poise-It’s a big game, and Mich1gAAn has nothing to lose. Don’t get chippy and have a cheap call impact your play. To the whistle, through the whistle, and then celebrate when the gun sounds.  That little fight in the 2nd quarter was the only let down in poise….however eight scUM surrounding one Buckeye….something had to be done since they weren’t get help elsewhere.

  1. A Win  Yep
  2. A Win Yep again!
  3. A Win And yep again!
  4. The O-H-I-O Cheer Take Over that Stadium Up North Buckeye fans could be heard at all times!
  5. A Win I think this happened….
  6. Hyde Rushing for a Buck 50  How does 226 sound?
  7. Guiton Taking a Knee on the Final Play No Kenny G this time!
  8. A Win We’ve covered this…..

  1. Death, injury, blood and pain. Buckeyes, Buckeyes, win again! The Buckeyes win again making it 9 out of the last 10!
Patrick
  1. Dominant Defense - Too many times this year, this defense has failed to close out games strong. (See this past Saturday) No where close to dominant!
  2. No Injuries - Yes, this game is a mist win, but they’re bigger fish to fry still.  Should be healthy for the B1G championship!
  3. More and More El Guapo - Let the man go out with one of the more dominant performances against that team up north.  Hyde averaged 8.4 yards per carry…..more and more dominating as the game went along!
  4. Dontre Wilson - FINALLY have an impressive game. I’m not on the Wilson bandwagon. I’m tired of seeing him run for 3-4 yards, sideways albeit, and get tackled. Have a coming out party young man.  The ejection hampered this one!
  5. Finally, a Win - Ruin senior day for them, make Fat’s seat even hotter, and put a few of those assistants in the unemployment line. OH, and really give Gardner something to cry about.  All those seniors were crying after losing this one!
That brings rivalry week to an end and now it’s on to Indy! Check back on Friday to see our wishes for the B1G Championship game!

Bah, I knew those ejections of Hall and Wilson would be demerits!

I think some preventative officiating could have prevented all the ejections.

True. But Marcus Hall gets bonus points for the double-bird on his way out.
