Here’s their Profile
University of Indiana
Coach Miller (Baldwin-Wallace ’90) is in his second year at Indiana and is sporting an impressive 14-0, 1-0 record at this point. This is quite an improvement from his inaugural season of 11-19, 2-14. That’s quite a turnaround. Indiana enters this game scoring an impressive 79 points per game, with only two players averaging double-digits, which indicates that a lot of players are chipping in offensively.
Indiana uses a 3G/1C/1F lineup, so they can work various areas of the floor; perimeter, wings and post play. Coach Miller will start Larryn Brooks (5’5″), Taylor Agler (5’9″) and Alexis Gassion (5’10″) at guard, Tabitha Geradot (6’1″) at forward and Sasha Chaplin (6’4″) at center. Brooks leads the team in scoring (18.8ppg) and assists (3.8 p/g) while Garadot leads the team in rebounding with 7 per game.

Here are the Indiana University Hoosiers:
Ohio State University Buckeyes
The Buckeyes stay atop the Big Ten was fairly brief, as they followed up a tremendous 2nd half against Purdue (win) with an abysmal 1st half against TTUN (loss). Hopefully, Coach McGuff has used the post-TTUN time to work on their shooting accuracy and rebounding shortcomings. Thankfully, the “base” of tenacious defense and general effort and hustle have been consistent so far this season.
Ameryst Alston continues to lead the Buckeyes in scoring (16.3) while Darryce Moore continues her fine play with a team-leading 6.8 rebounds per game.
And, here are your Ohio State Buckeyes:
If the Buckeye defense does one thing, it has to be to contain guard Larryn Brooks. As mentioned above, she leads the team in scoring and assists, so the offense certainly runs through her. Additionally, in Indiana’s 14 games, she has been their leading scorer in 10 of them. The Buckeyes also have to be aware of where forward Tabitha Gerardot is, since she leads the team in rebounding and 2nd in scoring. I’m interested to see how McGuff’s team responds on the road against a very tough conference opponent. Ohio State needs to have a bounce-back game to get back on track after the TTUN game. Unfortunately, I don’t think Indiana provides that opportunity.
