Things don’t get easier for the Ohio State Buckeyes (14-14, 4-8) as they host the #21 Nebraska Cornhuskers (19-5, 9-3).

The Cornhuskers are on a six game winning streak and looking to move it to seven games before returning home to host the Nittany Lions next Monday.

Nebraska runs a 2G/3F lineup with Rachel Theriot (6’0”) and Tear’a Laudermill (5’9”) at the guard spots.. The forwards are Jordan Hooper (6’2”), Emily Cady (6’2”) and Hailie Sample (6’1”). The Cornhuskers have four players in double figures; Jordan (17.3 PPG), Cady (13.5 PPG), Theriot (13.0 PPG) and Laudermill (10.8 PPG). Cady and Hooper also lead the team in rebounds, 9.4 and 9.3, respectively. Theriot dishes 6.6 assists per game.

Ohio State University Buckeyes

The Buckeyes continued their February 4-game slide with Saturday’s loss at MSU. Unfortunately, the Cornhuskers will present a similar challenge to the Buckeyes. Ameryst Alston continues to light up the scoreboard and Raven Ferguson provides spark and points off the bench.

Wrap-up

This will be an excellent gut-check for the Buckeyes. This is the 2nd consecutive game against a tough opponent, and the Buckeyes need to regain their shooting touch. This may be a tough team to do it.
