The Ohio State Buckeyes (14-15, 4-9) host the Northwestern Wildcats (14-12, 4-9) Sunday for a noon tip-off. Ohio State, losers of five straight games, look to get a win against a pretty so-so Northwestern team. But then Northwestern, also losers of five straight games, is probably thinking the same thing. The Buckeyes lost a tough game 67-59 to #17 Nebraska on Thursday, while Northwestern lost 82-73 to #9 Penn State the same evening.
Here’s their Profile
The Wildcats have similar scoring/points allowed statistics as Ohio State (table at bottom), with the two differences are they are a better shooting team than Ohio State, but a worse rebounding team.
They run a 3G/2F lineup with Maggie Lyon (6’1”), Christen Inman (5’10”) and Ashley Deary (5’4”) at the guard positions and Nia Coffey (6’1”) and Alex Cohen (6’5”) at forward. Coffey leads the team in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (7.6). Lyon is also a threat in scoring (13.3) and rebounding (5.0). Deary leads the team in assists with an astonishing 6.8 per game. First player off the bench, at 25 minutes per game, is 6’2” forward Lauren Douglas, who contributes 12.1 ppg and 5.0 rpg.

Ohio State University Buckeyes
The Buckeyes, although coming close against Nebraska, were not able to close the deal. This is the last home game for seniors Ashley Adams, Aleksandra Dobranic, Martina Ellerbe, Darryce Moore and Amy Scullion.
And, here are your Ohio State Buckeyes:
I have no idea how this game will turn out, other than I’m sure the team will put forth max effort on Sunday. This is the last home game for the seniors, and I’m sure this season hasn’t panned out the way we’d all hoped, I’m glad this group of ladies are Buckeyes. I see where the Buckeyes have been averaging a little over 5,000 in attendance for their home games this season. I’d suggest, if at all possible, you attend Sunday afternoon’s game to send the seniors, and the team, off to an appreciative home season send off.
