University of Michigan

The Wolverines rolled through their early conference schedule unscathed, but stumbled a bit ib February, losing 3 games in a two week span. However, Beilein’s bunch has righted the ship and now won six straight straight games. In their previous meeting, the Wolverines were led by Nik Stauskas (15 pts), Zak Irvin (10 pts) and Derrick Walton Jr. (13 pts, 10 rebs).

Ohio State University Buckeyes

After dropping two straight games to wrap up February, the Buckeyes have closed their regular season and opened B1G tourney play with two consecutive wins. Although the Purdue win went down to the last shot, a win is a win, especially in tournament play. In the previous meeting between these team, Ohio State was led by LaQuinton Ross (24 pts) and ‘Zelle Smith Jr (13 pts).

Wrap-up

I’d like to think that Ohio State will come away with the win. The Buckeyes are finding a way to win close games. Or at least a way not to lose the close games this week. Hopefully that “grittiness” continues Saturday aftenoon.
