The Ohio State Buckeyes (15-16, 5-10) visit The Barn on Sunday to play the Minnesota Golden Gophers (18-11, 7-8) in an early afternoon tip-off. The Buckeyes will look to get to .500 for the season, while the Gophers look to get to .500 in Conference play. The Gophers will also honor seniors Sari Noga and Micaella Riche.
Here’s their Profile

The Golden Gophers have had a pretty good February, going 5-2, and look to get another win before the Big Ten Tournament. It’s Senior Night, so the Barn may be rocking on Sunday afternoon.
Minnesota runs a 3G/1F/1C lineup with Rachel Banham (5’9”), Sari Noga (5’10”) and Shayne Mullaney (5’10”) at the guard positions, Micaella Riche (6’2”) at forward and Amanda Zahui (6’5”) at center. The Gophers are led by Banham (22.2 ppg), Zahui (15.1 ppg, 11.1 rpg) and Shayne Mullaney (7.7 ppg, 4.1 apg). It’s safe to say that Amanda Zahui’s season average of a double-double is very impressive.

Ohio State University Buckeyes
It’s been an interesting inaugural season for Coach McGuff. A “short” bench got even shorter with transfer/injury, players were getting acclimated to a new style of play and new roles, and here we are. Ohio State needs a win against Minnesota to reach the .500 mark for the season. After a moderately successful pre-conference slate, conference play “happened”. The Big Ten has five ranked teams, and Ohio State played all of them, most of them twice. These nine games accounted for eight of the B1G losses.
This is the last regular season game for the Buckeye Seniors; Ashley Adams, Aleksandra Dobranic, Martina Ellerbe, Darryce Moore and Amy Scullion. It’s been a tough season, but this team has always played hard. For that, I thank you.
And, here are your Ohio State Buckeyes:
Ohio State still has a few kinks to work out, particularly on offense, and playing in the Barn will exacerbate the challenge. This is the last regular season game for both teams, so expect to see a spirited, hard-fought ball game.
