Chad Lindsay Is A Buckeye !!

Written April 22nd, 2014 by MaliBuckeye

Let the “Transfer U” jokes continue, as Ohio State receives a verbal commitment from their third in a month, and the first for the football program.

Former Alabama center Chad Lindsay, a Texas native, has chosen to complete his graduate degree in Columbus and use his final year of eligibility to play for the scarlet and gray.  Having started four games for the Crimson Tide, he’s expected to be an immediate contributor for Coach Warriner this fall.

Lindsay was also considering Oklahoma, Cal, and Michigan; his decision to head to Columbus rather than Ann Arbor has made folks up north a bit conflicted.  As you may remember, Lindsay’s former coach is the new Offensive Coordinator for Coach Brady Hoke… and yet he spurned the Wolverines to join the good guys.

While his initial foray into college football came with some scrutiny, it’s worth noting that the Tide have a tradition of excellent line-play to support their running game.  They also have a tradition of over-signing on National Letter Of Intent Day, so it’s nice that OSU could help them out with that as well.  Win, win.

Welcome to the Buckeye Family, Chad!

Yes, welcome to the Buckeye Family Mr. Lindsay. It’s good to see a non-basketball transfer. ;)

A very nice addition to the offensive line. Whew.
