Growing up, there was a Smith Barney commercial that intoned “We make money the old fashioned way. We earn it.”
Today at Ohio State’s camp, Dublin Scioto’s Nick Conner took that to heart, earning the scholarship offer he’d been working toward for quite some time. And, in order to strike while the iron is hot, he accepted almost immediately, becoming the next member of the Elite ’15 recruiting class.
First reported (as usual) by Jeremy Birmingham, Conner was an in-state prospect that many Ohio State fans had been hoping would become a part of this Buckeye class. His offer sheet speaks for itself, with Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Oregon, and Pittsburgh joining most of the B1G Ten in pursuing this high school athlete. He’s a four star recruit on most sites, and is listed as one of the top 5 linebackers in the country on several as well.
The 6’3″ Conner weighs in at about 225 pounds, and is projected in the middle of the linebacking corps. While his “speed numbers” may not be flashy, he certainly has a nose for the ball, as you can see after the jump:
Welcome to the Buckeye Family, Mr. Conner… we know it’s been a lifelong dream, and we can’t wait to see what you set your sights on next.
