For the Ohio State Buckeye fan in all of us

The Buckeye Battle Cry

I wonder where our Fresno State friends went?

Posted on December 19, 2009 by Jeff at The BBC

Earlier this week, we had a small influx of Fresno State fans invading tBBC.

  • They were upset that we didn’t give their Bulldogs any respect (even though we picked them to win their bowl game unanimously).
  • They were mad that we didn’t count their WAC conference as among the nations’ best.
  • They practically wet the bed when we didn’t allow their comments to appear on our site after they went on personal attacks against my fellow writers.

They went on a tirade of bullshit, claiming that Fresno State could beat any team in the NCAA.  They spouted that their team would finish near the top of the Big Ten EVERY YEAR.  They referred to Ohio State as a team “living on past accomplishments” (funny, I thought five straight conference titles was an ongoing thing, not in the past).

Gee, I wonder where they are today???

Oh, THAT’S what happened to them….

Time to face the facts, girls. Your Bulldogs just got bounced by a team that finished 7-6 on the year, and ended up FIFTH in the mighty Mountain West Conference. Yes, that’s right….you lost to a team that finished BEHIND Air Force in the standings.

And by the way….Fresno’s best win all year was against Idaho. Idaho. As a matter of fact, that’s the only team you beat this year that ended up with a winning record.

Now get back to your hole and shut the fuck up.

Nice post, Jeff. I had made a comment last night (couldn’t help myself) on your pregame post; you remember, the one where you & your staff predicted FS would win? You were kidding, right?

For clarity, Wyoming ONLY finished with a winning record this year because they had the benefit of playing Fresno State to wrap up their season. At least FS is good for something.

  2. Eric says:

And that something is not scoring in Overtime. 4 chances on the inch line against a middle-of-the-road MWC school and you can’t punch it in? Epic Fail.

From Jeff at The BBC – Yeah, and didn’t someone tell us that FSU’s RB was “better than any player in the Big Ten”???

But then again, we weren’t going up against the mighty defense of Wyoming and their 81st-ranked defense. That’s just slightly worse than Marshall’s 80th-ranked defense, and the stories about Marshall’s defense in 2009 are legendary!

  3. Ken says:

Jeff, my guess is that, since it’s only a little past 8:00am (Left Coast Time) the FSU folks will be manning up to apologize to you sometime later. Of course, I’ve been wrong before.

  4. poop says:

Fresno State fans: HAHA! I didn’t even know Wyoming had a football team. I’m sure they would roll the Big Ten too [rolls eyes]. “Fresno State Fighting Chihuahuas” has a nice ring to it.

  5. Ken says:

OT, but two wins in a row; break up the Browns. Whoo-hoo.
