tBBC Radio Hour: Spring Game/Roy Hall

Written April 15th, 2013 by Joe Dexter

It’s that time of the year again… Football is back! On this week’s edition of The Buckeye Battle Cry Radio Hour, we’ve got plenty story lines, predictions and performances to talk about after Saturday’s annual Spring game, held at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday for the first time in school history.tbbc Radio Hour itunes

Helping us do so is the great Jeremy Birmingham of Eleven Warriors. Birm brings us his perspective from the game, as well as breaks down who he though had a solid showing in the game and what can be taken from the scrimmage.

He also breaks down his thoughts on Braxton Miller, Urban Meyer’s second year, and the depth surrounding this Buckeye team.

Then we go from the Gridiron, to the Hardwood. Former Buckeye Wide Receiver Roy Hall joins us, to talk about the Driven Foundation’s basketball game for charity coming up on Friday. The Driven Foundation president also talks about his relationships with fellow Buckeyes Maurice Clarett and Antonio Smith — as well as what his foundation has been able to accomplish over the last few years.

That’s all jam packed in another addition of tBBC Radio Hour! Enjoy!

tBBC Radio Hour: BBall Roundup/Rutgers/Spielman

Written April 8th, 2013 by Joe Dexter

We are back with a brand new addition of The Buckeye Battle Cry Radio Hour! This week is chock full of great content, as we are blessed with some great guests and solid commentary from our friends here at tBBC.tbbc Radio Hour itunes

In our first segment, Eric and MaliBuckeye swing by to chat about the recent happenings on the court.

Eric, Mali and I recap the season, discuss Deshaun Thomas’ legacy, break down the national championship game and how the refs have helped TTUN’s run to the final Game.

Mali also gives us his perspective from Los Angeles as he took in the West Region as a member of game management staff.

Eric also breaks down how the Buckeyes will replace Deshaun’s scoring and inside presence next season.

Then we are joined by Dave White of On The Banks, to dissect the Rutgers saga that has rained down on New Jersey basketball fans. White gives us his opinion on the latest from Chris Christie, who could fill the vacancy of head coach, and just how long it will take the program to rebuild from the wreckage.

Finally, Buckeye Great Chris Spielman joins us to talk about the 14th annual Stefanie’s Champions Awards and the luncheon accompanying them on Wednesday. The event will take place at noon in the Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom of the Ohio Union. Event tickets and registrations are available by clicking here — or calling 614-293-3752.

As a Buckeye and Detroit Lions fan (yes they exist), it was an honor to talk to Chris. Yet my fandom for his play on the field doesn’t even come close for my admiration of the dedication he has toward the fight against Cancer. What a great man with a strong will and dedication to win.

Once again thanks to our guest for joining us, and thanks for listening!

Written November 5th, 2011 by Eric

Eric and Michael of Our Honor Defend get together to discuss the Buckeyes’ 34-20 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers, a game much closer than the score indicates.  They talk about the struggles of the defense, and the fact that the offense seemed to have to save the day this time around.  They also talk about the growth of the offense as a whole, and what all this means heading into next week’s game with Purdue.

Of course, they also talk a big of Men’s Basketball previewing the Buckeye’s exhibition game with the Walsh Cavaliers on November 6th.

All this and more on this week’s Postgame Show!

tBBC Radio Hour: Indiana Preview

Written November 4th, 2011 by Eric

Eric is joined by Malibuckeye and Michael from Our Honor Defend in previewing this week’s Indiana game. They spend plenty of time talking about Wisconsin, including whether or not Buckeye fans should have rushed the field after that game. They also discuss if Wisconsin is a burgeoning rival of Ohio State, and what differences there might be with OSU’s rivalry with Michigan.

The guys hit on the Indiana game and what aspects of the game worry them a little, particularly considering how much like a trap game it is.
Before they wrap up, they also talk a little basketball and preview the upcoming exhibition game against Walsh!
All this and more on this week’s Radio Hour!

Eric, Joe, and Michael from Our Honor Defend join up to discuss the excellent Ohio State win over the Wisconsin Badgers. In particular they discuss the game planning and overall play of the team, especially in the waning seconds of the game.
