Those of you who play along with us during Fall liveblogs know my propensity for helping make stadium sound effects on third down as a way to
manage my ADD help the team. As such, today’s news hit me with a bit of both nostalgia and sadness… The band that gave us the bell may be no more. We’ve only got one choice for today’s soundtrack, then… Happy Wednesday!
Life is full of decisions. Sometime soon (Friday?) we’ll get the official word that LaQuinton Ross has decided to head to greener pastures… but until then, here’s the soundtrack for our midweek musings.
How ’bout a little weekend “catch up” of all the news and notes? Since it’s a Sunday, we’ve got to choose our soundtrack wisely- something sacred, perhaps.
Why should Georgia’s elite 2015 prospects consider Ohio State? “You get a premium education with the opportunity to go compete for a national championship in a large city that really has no professional sports team. There’s a lot to be offered up here.”
So, of course folks decided to make this statement a slight against the Crew and BlueJackets… because, Bianchi. At any rate, we remind you of this:
If they can celebrate The Answer in Philly, we can celebrate Spring with this great musical tribute that includes his most notorious catchphrase…
Today’s my dad’s birthday. So, this is relevant (and may explain a few things):
The #3 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0) continue action in the Gotham Classic on Saturday evening by meeting Notre Dame for an evening game (7:30 PM EST, ESPN2 ) in Gotham City. The Buckeyes, after disposing of the Fightin’ Blue Hens on Wednesday, line up against the Fighting Irish. A lot of combativeness going on this week.
Here’s their Profile

We’re sneaking up on Basketball Season! As with the last two seasons, we’re going to preview the team player by player. While we normally do these alphabetically, Aaron Craft will come a little later because Eric is a horrible slacker.
The loss of several stars to early entry into the NBA draft before last season made recruiting little tougher for Thad Matta. The scholarships have dwindled for the 2012-2013 season leaving just one open spot for a new-comer. Amedeo Della Valle had the honor of being the lone newbie scholarship player for that team.
Over the last few years the Bucks have lost the likes of Jon Diebler and William Buford. This has left Matta searching for someone to step in to fill the scoring void in the Buckeyes’ lineup. Amadeo Della Valle (ADV for short, or as we bloggers prefer “Floppy Haired Mayhem” – “FHM” for short) was just the guy they were looking for to fill the gap. While he didn’t see incredible quantities of playing time with the talent in front of him, Buckeye Nation did get to see flashes of what he might become.

ADV comes from a basketball background. His father, Carlo, played 15 years as a pro basketball player. His father never pushed ADV to become a basketball player which, in my opinion, was the best move Carlo could have made. Carlo allowed ADV to play soccer and basketball both and always told him to “play what you like”.
