Not gonna lie… got a pretty mellow vibe for this week’s updates.

Buckeye 411

Time For Trophies- Now that the season is over, it’s time to start handing out gold stars and stickers for the best of the best, and Monday/Tuesday were B1G All Conference Awards, or as we like to call them- the “Ohio State was expected to be great, so here’s something for everyone else”. As you may have read across the interwebs, the best team in the conference only had three players on the first team, while Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Penn State had five each. Most egregious was Ryan Shazier- the conference’s best linebacker, in terms of statistics, being bumped to the second team and overlooked for B1G Linebacker of the Year.

Along Those Lines- Also “outstanding”? No Ohio State offensive linemen on the first or second teams, in spite of leading the conference
… [Read More]

May’s second midweek madness gets existential. The big story of the day was the “discussion” about the future of our favorite sport- more on that after the jump.

Sandman. Freak of Nature. The guys at CBS Sports have taken a look across the college football landscape, and identified the physical specimen that we should keep our eyes on. tBBC Crush (seriously, I’m confident that he could crush all of us at once) John Simon makes the list for his tangibles and his work ethic; both of which are important factors in his leadership of this Buckeye team.

Bar? Set. BBN Brother from another mother Grant brings the truth this week, including today’s look at why Buckeye Nation’s expectations for Coach Meyer are spot on- not only for the great program’s “rebound”, but based on his passion and track record-

No, we’re not planning to drive down to Florida and beat up Ralph Decker. Despite the heavy traffic coming from EDSBS and others who claim The BBC is on a mission to hunt him down, we’ve actually made it clear that we want the law (and not vigilante justice) to prevail…and we have refused to post any private information, even deleting his address when it popped up in the comments.

No, instead we’re planning a road trip up North. TSUN, to be exact. A full weekend of football.

Saturday, November 21st – Ohio State Buckeyes at Michigan Wolverines

Sunday, November 22nd – Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions

Can you taste it now? Road trip to Michigan, third week of November. All are welcome, into the light. Allllll are welcome.

I’m thinking by then, the Buckeyes will be looking to secure another BCS bid, Michigan will be wondering if Lllllloyd Carr … [Read More]
