And then there were 4! While I love to sit here and talk about the Syracuse Orangemen falling from the ranks of the unbeatens, Christmas came a week early for me. Three teams lost their first game of the season - Syracuse, Illinois, and (No….I do not have my shocked face on at this one) New Mexico. In addition to these upsets, several other ranked teams lost at least one game this week. Some teams lost in surprising games and others to fellow ranked squads (I thought the madness was in March). Wichita State fell from the Top 25, as expected, and made room for Butler after their amazing win over Indiana. This week many teams take a very light schedule to spend time with their families and gear up for their conference runs. So, without further delay, let’s see what happened this week.

Here’s a look at the Top 25 … [Read More]

This article has gone through two separate iterations in its lifetime already. This most recent version finalizes the condition of Ohio State by analyzing their final Public Infractions Reports, and looking at the final penalties handed down by the NCAA. I also add one more school, Michigan, as yet another example of the NCAA’s methods and mentalities. You’ll still find the original article here if you so desire.

This article will continue to be updated as a few more investigations pan out. We’re still waiting on the North Carolina Public Infractions Report, which should be out soon. LSU may have another Notice of Allegations coming, and we’re just waiting on Oregon’s NOA before adding them to the mix.

There’s also the possibility that Penn State will get an NOA up here considering the letter sent them by the NCAA after the Sandusky issue dropped. As unfortunate of a situation as … [Read More]

UPDATE- We’ve put all of this information into a table for those who prefer getting their information that way (and read USA Today). Check it out here, or under the Media Table at the top right of the site.

We’ll also work to update it as necessary, should more evidence emerge either supporting or refuting these concerns.

Update 2 – It has come to our attention that not all of the information presented was sourced properly. The article has been modified to be more clear.

It’s been a hectic couple of months to be a Buckeye fan. The first half of the year has felt like every media organization in the nation, including our own home base news sources, have been giving our favorite university the third degree.

One constant in these media investigations is that the national news sources never return to the scene of the … [Read More]
