We’re getting close to kickoff time and with the start of the regular season comes anticipation of The Game.
So with that in mind, let’s celebrate the No. 3, the margin of victory in The Game of the Century: OSU 42, Michigan 39 on Nov. 18, 2006.
OSU came in No. 1 in every poll. Michigan came in at No. 2. The winner would be assured of a spot in the BCS National Championship Game.
Like the game needed more hype, right?
Well, former Michigan head coach (and former OSU assistant) Bo Schembechler unexpectedly died the day before the game.
It was the first time The Game featured two undefeated teams ranked 1-2 in the country.
