Spotlight on: Men’s Soccer

10/23/2012 Despite a valiant effort, the Ohio State men’s soccer team was edged on Tuesday night by #3 Akron by a score of 1-0 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in front of 2,125 fans.

Reinaldo Brenes scored the game’s only goal in the 52^nd minute off a rebound from a shot missed by teammate Wil Trapp.

The Zips edged the Buckeyes 18-14 in shots, and Ohio State was led by Chris Gomez’s three shots.  The loss dropped the Buckeyes to 6-9-1 on the season.

Ohio State will be back in action in Columbus on Sunday, November 4^th against Wisconsin for Senior Day after playing at Penn State on October 28^th.
