<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Men&#8217;s Gymnastics</strong></span></p>
<p>3/9 &#8211; No. 4 Ohio State defeated No. 15 UIC by a score of 439.200-409.050 on Saturday at St. John Arena. Six Buckeyes won individual event titles at the meet (floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, and parallel &#38; high bars.  Junior Michael Newberger won his fourth event title of the season on the pommel horse. Teammate Alex Johnson won his second consecutive title on the high bar.</p>
<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Men&#8217;s Lacrosse</strong></span></p>
<p>3/9 &#8211; No. 8/11 Ohio State was defeated by No. 7/7 Denver 10-9 on Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.  At halftime, the Pioneers led 6-5, and then they took an 8-5 lead in the third quarter. In the fourth, Ohio State cut the Denver lead to 2 at 9-7 after a Charlie Schnider goal. Later on, they cut the lead to one at 10-9, but they were unable to score again to tie. <p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Softball</span></strong></p>
<p>2/8-10 &#8211; Ohio State opened up its season at the Red and Black Showcase in Athens, GA this weekend.  On Sunday afternoon, Ohio State defeated Winthrop 4-3 in eight innings after a bases loaded hit-by-pitch.  After the win, the Buckeyes were crowned tournament champions after posting a 4-1 record for the weekend. On Saturday, the Buckeyes defeated the No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs 5-4 in extra innings and on Friday, they defeated Elon 10-2.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Women&#8217;s Gymnastics</span></strong></p>
<p>2/8 &#8211; The No. 20 Buckeyes posted a season best score, but fell to No. 5 Michigan 196.925-196.250.  Aly Marohn tied for the vault event title with a career best 9.900, while Sarah Miller tied for the beam title with a score of 9.875.</p>

<p>2/8-9 &#8211; The Buckeyes dropped two games to Minnesota this weekend. On Friday, they dropped a 5-2 decision to the Badgers and on Saturday, a 5-3 decision.</p>

<p>The Ohio State men’s hockey team beat Michigan State last Friday with a 1-0 win.</p>

<p>On Friday, Ryan Dzingel&#8217;s third period goal broke a scoreless game to give Ohio State a 1-0 lead and eventually the win.  OSU goalie Brady Hjelle had 31 saves to tally his 3rd shut out this season.</p>
<p>The Spartans could not score in the first period despite a 14-8 shot advantage and a power play. Hjelle finished the period with 14 saves.</p>
<p>In the second period, both the Buckeyes and Spartans had goals overturned by video review, leaving the game scoreless.  Ohio State led the period in shots 13-5 but could not capitalize on any of them. Spartan goalie Jake Hildebrand had 13 saves.</p>

<p>The Ohio State women&#8217;s volleyball team ended its regular season this past week. On 11/21, the No. 14 Buckeyes dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 1 Penn State.  Senior Mari Hole led the Buckeyes with 10 kills and 8 digs.  Teammate Kaitlyn Leary added six kills while Anna Faul had three kills and two blocks.  Penn State won the first set 25-18, the second set 25-16, and the third set 25-14.</p>
<p>On Friday, the Buckeyes dropped their season finale to TSUN by a score of 3-1 at St. John Arena.  Ohio State honored seniors Mariah Booth, Mari Hole, Emily Danks, and Amanda Peterson before the game.  Hole notched her 17th double-double of the season with 15 kills and 11 digs.  The Wolverines took the first set 25-22, the third set 25-18, and the fourth set 25-20.</p>

<p>The Ohio State Men’s Hockey team opened its home schedule with a 1-1 tie and a shootout win against Alaska on Friday night at Value City Arena.  Sophomore Alex McCormick tied the game almost as soon as the third period began to tie the game at 1.  In the shootout, Ryan Dzingel scored to secure the win for the Buckeyes in the sixth round.</p>

<p>The game was scoreless after one period after the goalies had combined for 24 saves. Then, at 5:05 into the second period, Alaska took a 1-0 lead after a Colton Parayko goal. Curtis Gedig tied it up for the Buckeyes at 1-1 early in the third period.</p>
